About

Welcome!

This blog is about me, Mo, a California girl with a wandering soul. After living in San Francisco for the 4 years I moved to Izmir, Turkey. There, I taught English, volunteered with refugees, and finally achieved my dream of experiencing life outside of the U.S.

I’ve just moved to Nagoya, Japan. I’ve never been to Asia before, and can’t wait to explore this part of the world. Expect many stories of travel, teaching, and cultural exploration.

So stick around kids, it’s just going to get more fun from here!

Happy Travels,

Mo

    Hi Mo,
Thank you for finding my blog! I started reading your About section, and was happy to read you were a big fan of Wanderlust with Paul Rudd.

        Mo,
You talk like a regular Carnie already. How exciting is this… for me!

    Hello hello,
Just found your blog through Expat Edna. I’m from the SF Bay Area but currently an expat in Basque Country! If you’re still in SF when I return, maybe we can meet up. It’s always fun to meet fellow travel bloggers!

Thanks Roaming! Glad to meet you. I’ll check your blog out as well and do look me up when you return!

Hi Mo, I just read a few of your recent posts — about Nevada City and your plans for Eastern Europe and for this summer’s trip up to Ashland. Fun reading!

    Hi,

My wife and I just received the Hopkins Year in Photos–2013 and read about your blog. You have inspired me to take a road trip up to Ashland and see Lassen again on the way. Thank you.
Please tell Zac that Doug Hogg from his old school (http://hoggshollowschool.com) says “hi”. 🙂

Thanks for stopping by my blog. I’m a frequent traveller to Japan and I’m always looking for new insights and local knowledge. Your trip to Sydney was very amusing to read 🙂

I spent four months teaching English at a university in Kanagawa Prefecture in 2017. You will love Japan! 🙂
