About

In the first version of this “About” page, I described myself as a “California girl with a wandering soul.” 11 years later, and these posts have seen me travel throughout Europe, Asia, and the Americas; move from Los Angeles to San Francisco, from Turkey to Japan, and back to Los Angeles again; become a teacher and then a student.

This blog has evolved a lot over the years. Currently, enjoy my thoughts and musings along my journey, living life in my hometown after a ten year absence whilst pursing a masters degree in linguistics, with the odd travel tale and film photography story for good measure.

Safe and Happy Travels,

Mo

  1. Hi Mo,
Thank you for finding my blog! I started reading your About section, and was happy to read you were a big fan of Wanderlust with Paul Rudd.

      1. Mo,
You talk like a regular Carnie already. How exciting is this… for me!

  2. Hello hello,
Just found your blog through Expat Edna. I’m from the SF Bay Area but currently an expat in Basque Country! If you’re still in SF when I return, maybe we can meet up. It’s always fun to meet fellow travel bloggers!

  3. Hi Mo, I just read a few of your recent posts — about Nevada City and your plans for Eastern Europe and for this summer’s trip up to Ashland. Fun reading!

  4. Hi Mo, nice to meet you. Just wanted to drop by to say thanks for visiting our blog and for the like on the “about us” page. Hope you enjoy the stories of our travels.
    Blessings
    Alison

  5. Hi,

My wife and I just received the Hopkins Year in Photos–2013 and read about your blog. You have inspired me to take a road trip up to Ashland and see Lassen again on the way. Thank you.
Please tell Zac that Doug Hogg from his old school (http://hoggshollowschool.com) says “hi”. 🙂

  6. Thanks for stopping by my blog. I’m a frequent traveller to Japan and I’m always looking for new insights and local knowledge. Your trip to Sydney was very amusing to read 🙂
